Meet Victoria:
Victoria Delaguerra-Seaman is a California State Board licensed Esthetician that has had a lengthy and successful career in the spa and beauty industries spanning 27 years. She owned several Spa's in Los Angeles and catered to a long list of celebrity clients. She began product development for a skin care line in 1999 that was sold exclusively to her clients until she sold her last Spa in 2004. That same year she created and launched the bath and body line "Bubalina" which is being used for treatments and sold for home use in Spa's throughout the world. In 2005 she moved her family and business to Las Vegas, Nevada. Bubalina, Inc. was sold in June 2009. Victoria freelances as a consultant for Spas & Spa product development and is blog editor for www.dayspa411.com.
In 2010 she became active in Nevada Politics.
What are the biggest challenges you are facing running your business?
One of the biggest challenges for almost all businesses is working capital. With the recent economic recession a business must be agressive in making creative marketing changes to attract customers. Operating a business in today's tough economy requires working harder, cutting overhead, and expecting full potential from employees.
Any advice you would like to share with aspiring entreprenuers?
Do something you love, learn every aspect of that business even if you need to work for someone else until you do. I advise a good business plan with enough capital to carry you through the first year. Don't let fear hold you back. You can never know success without failure. Don't be afraid to ask for advice from other successful business owners.
