Meet Sonia:
Founder & CEO of Noie Productions, LLC, noieproductions.com a media production company spawning organic, innovative & chic culinary media. In my new Food+Life/Style digital series ‘stirring it up! with Sonia Hunt’ (located at soniahunt.com) I am getting down to the roots and rules of the rising foreign food subculture. Hanging out in the underground scene with the spicy personalities that are innovating within the culinary arts.  It’s a stimulating and sizzling food adventure for a younger generation of Food Nerds.  I’ve led a very successful career in digital media technology, so this venture brings together my love of the culinary arts with my passion for technology.

What are the biggest challenges you've faced running your business?
There is a clear shift that has been going on from traditional television to Produced Digital Series on the web.  There is still not much produced serial content, so we are part of the innovators in our category of food+life/style.  Education around that shift and what it means going forward as business models are changing, is always challenging. We’ve been blessed to receive rave reviews and press along the way on the show, validating what we are doing. I have an incredible team that is truly dedicated around my vision and making change in the culinary industry.  Couldn’t do this without them.

 Any advice you want to share with aspiring entrepreneurs?
Just do it.

Other fun facts about Sonia:
I have 31+ food allergies and I eat for a living :) I’m 4-time marathoner and co-chair the SF Chapter of a Global Non-Profit called Achilles International, which helps athletes with disabilities participate in mainstream athletics. To me its more than the food we put in our bodies – it’s the entire body, mind and spirit that makes you strong. Oh, I used to be the lead singer of an R&B band in San Francisco too!
